Design — Build
Three BadgeForce screens — home, reward market and leaderboard — on a bright blue field.

I served as the sole Product Designer for BadgeForce, architecting the entire design system and user experience from the ground up.

01 — Design

My work spanned the end-to-end design of both the mobile application and the complex administrative dashboard.

To elevate the product beyond a standard utility, I conceptualized a proprietary Robot Character Lore, designing unique figures to serve as emotional touchpoints within the gamification loop.

The cast — one robot for every part of the loop

The Task robot: a blue-and-white robot with a smiling visor, holding up a gold star coin, a ribbon badge on its chest.

The Competency robot: a yellow-and-white robot reading an open blue book, a rolled certificate behind it.

The Badge robot: a red-and-white pirate robot with an eye patch and a pirate hat, one foot on an open treasure chest of star badges.

The Recognition robot: a green robot hanging a gold star medal around a smiling purple robot’s neck.

The Reward robot: a purple-and-white robot carrying a gift box with a gold star tag.

Rewards & benefits

BadgeForce home: greeting with level progress, XP and coin balances, a 3-day streak card with a daily XP reward, a live feed of badges just earned on the platform, and the user’s requests.

01

Every day starts here

Level progress, XP and coins, a streak that pays out daily XP — and a live feed of who just earned what.

Tasks screen: search, Tasks / My tasks / Completed tabs, and task cards showing type, dates, XP and coin rewards, the owner and application status.

02

Work, as quests

Pick the tasks that suit you: general and team tasks, each with XP and coin rewards, an owner and an application status.

Badge collection: a pirate robot among treasure chests above a 7 of 90 progress bar and a Suggest a badge button; badge search; All badges / My badges tabs; and a grid of badges — earned ones in full colour, locked ones faded.

03

A collection worth building

Companies create as many badges as they like, from Pixel Perfect to Prompt Engineer — earned ones in full colour, the rest still to win, all guarded by a pirate robot. Employees can suggest new ones too.

Profile: rank 10, level, coins and XP; a showcase of certificates, competencies and initiatives; and a badge collection card, 42 of 90 badges, with a pirate robot on a treasure chest.

04

Your work, on display

Rank, level and a showcase of certificates, competencies and initiatives, with the badge collection front and centre.

Leaderboard: filters by module and by active season, year or all time; the top three on a podium; ranks 4 and 5; and the user’s own rank, 48th, pinned at the bottom.

05

Seasons with a podium

The top three up front; filters by module and by season, year or all time — and your own rank always in view.

Reward market: a robot mascot beside a treasure chest of coins, the coin balance, reward search and categories, and rewards priced in coins — a MacBook Pro and a Stanley tumbler.

06

Coins with somewhere to go

The reward market turns coins into things people want — from a tumbler for 100 coins to a laptop.

Flexible benefits: a robot mascot pointing at a board of benefit icons, an open selection window, the benefits budget (total, spent, remaining), BadgeForce coins converted into budget, and fixed items such as health insurance.

07

Coins that become benefits

In the benefits window, earned coins convert into a flexible-benefits budget — health, transport, sport — and each employee builds their own package.

By bridging systematic component design with character-driven storytelling, I transformed a corporate tool into an immersive digital ecosystem.

02 — Build

For BadgeForce Sales Edition I built a native iOS prototype in Swift: the gamification loop, tuned for sales teams, running on a real phone. It was made to be presented to companies’ sales departments, so it ran on its own data — no backend was ever built.
